HelpMap™ is a fully functional website that helps communities coordinate aid fast — showing needs and offers directly on an interactive map.
Inspired by Real Needs
In October 2024, floods devastated significant parts of Valencia (Spain). A local initiative quickly launched a live map (Ayuda Terreta) using my plugin Open User Map to organize aid. That effort quickly turned into something much bigger.
Shortly after the site went live, the team behind it reached out to us with specific needs — and we jumped in to help. We rapidly improved the plugin to better support their urgent use case, tailoring the map interface and functionality for fast, large-scale community coordination.
The result: a simple yet powerful tool that became the central hub for organizing help across the region. The project went viral, drawing thousands of participants and widespread media attention. It connected people in need with volunteers offering food, shelter, transport, and support — all in real time.
In the middle of the chaos, this tool gave our community structure. Within hours, we had a live map where people could ask for or offer help — and it just worked. The support we got to adapt the platform to our needs was incredible. We couldn’t have coordinated thousands of volunteers and requests without it.

You’ll get up to 8 hours of direct support from a developer to set up and customize your HelpMap. This time can be used flexibly — whether it’s installing the site, configuring plugins, adjusting the layout, adding custom fields, or helping you integrate it into your existing ecosystem. It’s your dedicated setup and support time to make sure everything works exactly the way you need.
Can I upgrade from the Self-Hosted plan to the Fully Managed version later?
Yes, absolutely. If you start with the Self-Hosted setup and later decide you want the convenience of a managed service, we can migrate your site and deduct part of your original payment from the first year of the Fully Managed plan.
What does “HelpMap as a Service” mean exactly?
We take care of everything technical — secure and fast hosting, automatic updates, daily backups, and direct support when you need it. You don’t need to worry about maintenance, server issues, or licenses — it’s all included.
